Jennifer Sebasigari is a notable chef, entrepreneur, and influencer who has captured the attention of the media with her motivational mission. Drawing inspiration from her painful past as a war refugee, she has made it her mission to help other refugees. After working as a bartender and waitress in Houston, she stumbled upon Giada De Laurentiis' online presence, which sparked a new passion within her. At 25 years old, she decided to enroll in culinary school with the goal of becoming the "Black Giada." She laughs, "I truly felt that culinary school was my God-given purpose."

After completing a two-year program at Le Cordon Bleu in Austin, Texas, and an internship at Disney, Jennifer Sebasigari landed a position in the kitchen at Oxheart, where she had the opportunity to work under the guidance of Justin Yu, a James Beard Award winner. At the time, she was unaware of Yu's prestige, but she was thrilled to have secured the job. After researching the restaurant, she discovered that it was one of the most highly acclaimed in Houston.

"I still draw upon the knowledge and experience that I gained from working with Justin to this day," she says. "I am truly grateful for those invaluable experiences."
